Why humans should be more like sloths from time to time

Growing up, I was always fascinated with sloths. Their slow lifestyle and unbothered attitude seemed like something we as humans should attempt to mimic from time to time. I mean, really relax. They're so chilled out that they can stay in one spot for so long that algae starts to grow on their fur, allowing them to blend into rainforests. I could totally see that for myself. On a beach in Italy. I want to be lying on the sand for so long, I begin turning into it, grain by grain. Sounds fantastic!

They also have extremely slow metabolisms (I know that sounds scary), but imagine all the clothes or consoles we could buy with the money saved from taking up to a month to digest a single meal. Assuming we stay constantly full…Maybe fact-check that one! Another thing I love about sloths is that they maintain a level of mystery. You may think you know everything about them, and then you suddenly learn that despite their major delay in movement, they're actually surprisingly strong swimmers. I love it! Never letting them know your next move, something we should totally work on…

Last but not least, they appreciate a good view. Spending most of the time dangling from a tall tree, only coming down about once a week…Like, are we the same person!? I love a rooftop bar or a mountain hike! The view is always "better from up there!" So why haven't we channeled our inner-sloth's laidback energy before??
